October was all about this year’s Guild Auction, With Millie as our auction leader – the auction was a smashing success. The winners are our supported charities and our members who will all grow through our educational programs. Check out the photos here.

Over 50 quilts are ready to bring warmth and comfort to local children undergoing treatment—thank you for your incredible efforts!
Additionally, Joanne collected more than 20 quilts made for the children at the Krier Center. Here are a few photos of those quilts being delivered. These quilts provide more than just warmth—they offer a sense of care and belonging to the kids who receive them.
Your generosity and hard work truly make a difference—thank you!
Well folks – here we are, crawling into another year of the Covid-19 Pandemic (remember – all started back in December 2019). I think now, however, we are all starting to live with and accept the pandemic, while using tools available to us in order to maintain health. We had no meetings between Feb ’20 and July ’21. Our meetings have sputtered back to life, and we have enjoyed seeing our quilting friends in person – once again. Programs are slowly returning to our meetings, and we now have a new way to present meetings using ZOOM! I have not kept up the website – but feel it’s close to being complete now. I’m going to hunt around for photos from a couple of months I missed (notably August ’21 and October ’21). If anyone has photos from those months, please let me know. 2022 promises to be better and we look forward to what the new year will bring us.
It’s been a while, but even during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, quilt-making continued strong! Recently, over 30 quilts were donated to the Cindy Krier Center.
Check out the photos and read a heartfelt letter of thanks and encouragement from the Center’s Director. Your dedication continues to make a meaningful impact—thank you!
Great program – with Betsy Chutchain. Go back and look at her great trunk show here. Then there’s the monthly members showing off in the February Show & Tell (who did those parrot quilts? lol). Finally, apologies for not keeping current (lots going on in my life that’s been taking up valuable time). I have updated the Newsletter page – so we’re good up to February now.
I do apologize for the lateness of this post – but with travel, the holidays, numerous health issues and a general malaise – there you have it. For your Show & Tell photos – click here. For the Meeting (Food, Games, Entertainment, Installation of 2020 Officers) – click here. I’ve tried adding video to no avail. Promise to keep trying. Would add a little interest to our otherwise drab presence on the web. I’ll keep plugging away.
I better get this in before the trip to Winstar. Who knows, might win a million and then forget the update posts (HA!). Anyhow – Show & Tell is Here and the photos MJ Fielek’s Presentation are HERE
Big thanks to our new webmaster (dual master?) who posted October updates for the website. First was our October meeting – which was basically a warm up for the auction and then Show & Tell. For the Show & Tell Photos go HERE. For the auction – go HERE.
btw – word has it – the auction was the most successful one to date!! Thanks to everyone for the hard work, for the talent and for the money!
A lot posted this month. As usual we have the Show & Tell Quilts. Then there was the September Meeting. And of course – The Newsletter from Ruth. We also posted the updated Bylaws, if you want to see the reall nitty-gritty. And final note – Tom Dengler has started working some on the website – so look for some exciting enhancements coming up. I know, for one, he’s looking at doing a better job sharing Workshop & Retreat information. Maybe even a way to sign up on-line!
Click on title above for links to the updated pages. I’ve added photos from our program this month presented by – Stephanie Hackney, Director of Sales and Marketing Hobbs Bonded Fibers – HERE. She also shared some informative sheets on the different types of batting HERE. And of course, the monthly star of our meeting – the member’s Show & Tell HERE
